Transport
The school bus transport is contracted to Bill Hare of Hampden. The bus services the area from the Pacific Ocean, West to Gardiner's Road, North to the Rakaia River and South to the Pendarves Hall.
Important Information
- In the interest of safety please only park on the school side of the road.
- Please WAIT until your child is checked off the bus list BEFORE you take your child away.
- DO NOT PARK on the opposite side of the road after school. This is potentially
very dangerous for children crossing the road and also the buses are unable to turn around.
- If your child is not going on the bus in the morning please ring your bus driver before 7.45am to inform them of this. We also ask that you please ring the school to officially notify
them of the absence and the reason why. If your child is not to go on the bus in the afternoon please write a quick note to the teacher explaining your wishes.
- Please only ring the school in an emergency as we do not have full time secretary hours and the phone is often tied
up. Another option is to ring your bus driver and they could then inform us.
- If you are picking up your child from school please come inside the gate to collect them. Also please notify the teacher standing by your child’s bus before you take them so that all children are accounted
for.
